Asset Yield
Definition
Asset Yield, in investing, is the income return on an investment. This refers to the interest or dividends received from a security and is usually expressed annually as a percentage based on the investment's cost, its current market value or its face value. This can be applied to (IT) projects/programs. Source.
Use Case / Interpretation
On time and on budget, as a measure of project/program effectiveness, is incomplete. The key element missing is whether or not the project met its business objectives.
