% of early no's on project proposals
Definition
Number of new project proposals as a percentage of the total number of new projects for a given period that are killed during (the early stage of) the approval process.
Use Case / Interpretation
Following the principle of 'Celebrating early no's', the larger the number of poor value projects that get killed in the approval process - as apposed to killing them during the project lifecycle - the more resources (human and financial) can be made available for high value projects.
