Estimated vs Actual vs Billed Hours

IT Change & Release[None]Ratio

Definition

This specific KPI deals with a direct comparison (or reconciliation if you wish to use this term) of a Complete Project's "Estimated Hours"... versus the "Actual Hours" worked within this same original scope, which then translates to "Billed Hours" (to client) whereby the difference of Actual vs Billed is factored in as either performance or technical proficiency.

Use Case / Interpretation

This KPI is difficult to measure, but with the right set of tools and a proven system your software development projects can be managed with very tight time-constraints and still strictly adhere to scope. This is also complimented with a robust "Change Management" system that piggybacks hourly reports into the Project Overview.
