Definition

The intent of the measure is to track and reduce the frequency with which customers make changes to orders after the orders have been placed and promised. These changes, whether precipitated by real changes in the business outlook or as a result of knowingly ordering excess quantities in periods of allocation, waste valuable supply chain resources.
