Definition
The process of cutting a jumbo reel to make rolls is called trimming, and the portion of the deckle that is not consumed by the rolls is the trim loss. Trim Optimization Efficiency measures the performance of the trim optimization process, either manual or by a computer aided algorithm, in minimizing the losses incurred during this process.
