Thresholds and establishing a relationship beteween the original Inpatient stay and the subsequent one will be critical for this measure. This measure will quantify the accuracy of decisions to discharge patients. Rough calculation would be Number of admissions for a patient who was previously inpatient within a specific time period divided by the number of discharges within the measurement period.
