Definition

When a 404 error page of a corporate website is showed more often than a certain target this might indicate navigation issues within the website itself and/or "old" links might still present in the index of search engines and/or web directories. With a high rate of 404 page hits it should be considered to support the "old" links and redirect to the new relevant pages.
